A proposal by MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred named the Golden At Bat Rule is as far fetched as they come.
Maybe it was a slow news day in the commissioner’s office and someone was trying to stoke up the hot stove, when this proposal broke. Supposedly, the rule has been under discussion by owners, but as I explain in this commentary a golden rule would be to end the conversation about the Golden At Bat Rule.
