OKC wins first NBA title. Start of dynasty?
Bradley rallies to win Travelers. Durant dealt. LSU wins CWS.
Good morning, all!
Sometimes the toughest thing to do in sports is win a title, when you are expected to win one. It took seven games, but the Oklahoma City Thunder lived up to the hype and beat the Indiana Pacers Sunday night, 103-91, for their first NBA championship, since moving from Seattle.
Yes, the Thunder caught a break, when Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton went down with a devastating injury in the first period that could sideline him through all of next season, but injuries are a part of the game. And the old line is you are only as good as the last player on the bench.
So congratulations to OKC, for not only winning its first title, but being poised to become sports latest dynasty. Not only is Oklahoma City a champion, but the team is young and stocked with several first round draft picks over the next few seasons, because of shrewd trades. The sky is the limit for the Thunder.
