Giants must clean house

Sonny Gray adds fuel to the rivalry

Good morning, all! It’s hump day!

The New England Patriots totally embarrassed the New York Giants on Monday night. Now it is time to clean house, again, if you are the Giants. I break it all down in the above video.

Here are some other thoughts, as I settle down on a cold winter’s night. I know it is late fall, but the meteorological calendar had winter starting Dec. 1:

  • Here is another note on the Giants, which drives home how the regime needs to be changed. Under GM Dave Gettleman the Giants were 19-46. Under GM Joe Schoen they are 20-43-1. Back up the moving van.

  • The PGA Tour needs Tiger Woods. Period.

  • So the headline on Sportico reads: ‘Don’t turn college football into pro football.’ I’ve got news for Sportico; the turn has already been made.

  • Fun week coming up in the NFL with some crucial matchups. It all starts with TNF, when the Lions host the Cowboys. It is a must win for both clubs. Bears at Packers, Colts at Jags, Texans at Chiefs, Steelers at Ravens, Eagles at Chargers and even Bengals at Bills are all huge.

  • So Sonny Gray says he never wanted to pitch for the Yankees and it’s “Easy to hate the Yankees.” Well his performance with the Yankees certainly showed he didn’t want to pitch for them and he has just added fuel to the rivalry with his comments. He and his way-over-the-top salary ($41M for one year counting a buyout) might be trying to ingratiate himself with Red Sox fans with those comments, but if he struggles in 2026, he will get booed out of Fenway Park worse than Steelers fans are booing Mike Tomlin.

That is going to do it for today’s newsletter. As always, thank you for your support and have a great Wednesday!
