Pete Rose collected 4,256 hits in his 24-year career; more than any player in Major League Baseball history. He was also banned from MLB for betting on baseball games, when he was a manager. His death on Monday renewed the debate on whether Rose belongs in the Hall of Fame. In this commentary I provide my viewpoint.
One correction. In the commentary I mention two times that Rose was a seven-time All-Star. That is incorrect. He was a 17-time All-Star. That fact was listed correctly in the graphic. My apologies for the mistake.
